Delete in the app (recommended)
- Open Zen Inbox on your device
- Go to Settings
- Under your connected mailbox, tap Remove account
- Confirm Remove
On your device, this deletes synced emails, folders, settings, and stored login tokens for that mailbox.
On our servers, when you are the last device linked to that mailbox, we also delete your account record, encrypted OAuth tokens, push notification tokens, and mail sync subscriptions.
If you have multiple mailboxes connected, removing one deletes only that mailbox's data — your other connections stay active.
Request deletion by email
Email support@zeninbox.ca from the address of the mailbox you want removed. Use the subject line "Data deletion request". We will delete server-side data within 30 days and confirm by reply.
What we delete
- Connected mailbox credentials (encrypted OAuth tokens)
- Server-side account and device link records
- Push notification registration for that mailbox
- Mail sync subscriptions (Gmail watch / Outlook webhook)
What may be retained temporarily
- Crash/diagnostics — anonymous support ID only (no email content) in Sentry; request erasure via support@zeninbox.ca
- Inactive server records — automatically deleted after 90 days without app activity
- Google Play purchase records — managed by Google for subscription billing
Data not stored on our servers
Email bodies and attachments are cached on your device only. Removing the account or uninstalling the app deletes local copies.
